This recruitment drive aims to fill 135 vacancies across 13 distinct Group-A and Group-B administrative and civil services within the Government of Arunachal Pradesh. Strict State-Specific Eligibility Criteria

- Permanent Residence Criterion: The applicant must be a citizen of India and a permanent resident of Arunachal Pradesh, holding a valid Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) issued by an authorized state authority.
- Indigenous Status (APST): The applicant must be an original inhabitant of Arunachal Pradesh and hold a valid Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) Certificate.

Detailed Selection Process and Exam Pattern
The APPSCCE-2026 examination comprises two key stages: a screening Preliminary Examination followed by the Main Examination (consisting of a written subjective stage and an interview round).
1. Preliminary Examination (Screening Only)
The preliminary exam consists of two mandatory objective papers, each scheduled for 2 hours. Candidates must appear in both papers to avoid disqualification. A negative marking penalty of 1/3rd (0.33) marks is applicable for every incorrect answer.
- Paper-I: General Studies (200 Marks) - General awareness, history, geography, environment, and state-specific questions. This paper is counted for merit ranking to qualify for the Main Examination.
- Paper-II: Civil Services Aptitude Test / CSAT (200 Marks) - Analytical, logical reasoning, and general mental ability. This is a qualifying paper only, requiring a minimum score of 33%.
2. Main Written & Viva-Voce Examination
The Main Examination comprises 8 subjective written papers and a personality test:
- Compulsory English Paper: 300 Marks (Qualifying in nature; candidates must score at least 33% for their other papers to be evaluated).
- Merit Ranking Papers: 1 Essay Paper, 4 General Studies Papers, and 2 papers from selected Optional Subjects. Each paper carries 250 marks, totaling 1750 marks for the written evaluation.
- Interview / Viva-Voce: 275 Marks. Shortlisted candidates are invited in a 1:3 ratio based on written performance.
