Overview of Central University of Kerala Teaching Recruitment 2026
The Central University of Kerala (CUK) has issued two official notifications for the recruitment of 48 teaching positions, including Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor roles. These vacancies are distributed across regular academic departments and the Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP). Eligibility and Qualifications
Eligibility is determined based on UGC Regulations for Non-ITEP posts and NCTE Regulations for ITEP posts. Candidates must hold a Master's degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks, along with NET or Ph.D. requirements as mandated by UGC. A 5% relaxation in marks is applicable for SC/ST/PwBD/OBC (Non-creamy layer) categories.
Application and Selection Process
Applicants are required to complete a two-step process: online registration and physical submission. Failure to submit the hard copy to the Recruitment Cell by 25 July 2026 will result in the rejection of the candidature.
- Step 1: Register and apply online at the official CU Chayan portal.
- Step 2: Pay the non-refundable fee of Rs. 2,000 (Exempt for SC/ST/Women/PwBD).
- Step 3: Print the application and attach self-attested documents with serial numbering.
- Step 4: Post the hard copy to: The Recruitment Cell, Central University of Kerala, Tejaswini Hills, Periye, Kasaragod, Kerala – 671325.
Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email for a personal interview. The university reserves the right to set higher eligibility thresholds if the volume of applications is high.

- Ensure your experience certificates comply with UGC Clause 10. Simple appointment letters are not acceptable as proof of service.
- Clearly superscribe the envelope with your registration number, notification number, and the post applied for.
- If you are currently employed, you must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) or an undertaking to produce it at the time of the interview.
