Overview of IUAC Recruitment 2026
The Inter-University Accelerator Centre (IUAC), New Delhi, an autonomous body under the University Grants Commission (UGC), has released an official notification for the direct recruitment of 8 positions including Scientist-C, Junior Engineer-C, and Library Assistant-C. Candidates are required to submit their applications through the official online portal before 04-08-2026 (23:59 Hrs).
Vacancy Details and Pay Structure
Note: Initial appointment for Scientist-C will be as Scientist Trainee with a stipend of Rs. 55,000 for one year, followed by absorption into Level-10.
Eligibility Criteria
- Scientist-C: M.Sc. in Physics/Applied Physics with at least 60% aggregate marks from Class-X onwards.
- Junior Engineer-C: Diploma in Electronics with at least 60% aggregate marks from Class-X onwards.
- Library Assistant-C: B.Lib. degree along with B.Sc. and 4 years of experience in a computerized library.
Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India norms for reserved categories including SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), and PwD (10 years).

The selection process for Scientist-C involves a written test and interview. For Junior Engineer-C and Library Assistant-C, selection is based on a written test followed by a skill or trade test. All recruitment activities are conducted in New Delhi.
