Post-Wise Vacancy & Monthly Emoluments

The positions carry fixed monthly consolidated remuneration as sanctioned for project staff under central funding guidelines. There are no additional central government allowances except House Rent Allowance (HRA) wherever explicitly sanctioned.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualifications

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

• Educational Background: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/Master Degree in Engineering/Technology in relevant disciplines, including Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Water Resources, Hydrology, or Remote Sensing & GIS.
• Mandatory Examination Requirement: Selection or qualification through CSIR-UGC NET, SET, GATE, or an equivalent national-level examination conducted by Central Government departments or agencies.

Consultant (IT)

• Educational Background: Ph.D. in Science OR Master’s Degree in Engineering/Technology in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Mandatory Experience: Minimum of 5 years of verifiable, relevant research and development experience in IT systems, software applications, or scientific data infrastructure.

Age Limit & Relaxations

The upper age limits apply as per Government of India standards. A relaxation of 5 years in the upper age cutoff is granted to candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and female applicants. Candidates with suitable domain experience may also receive additional age relaxation if formally recommended by the Selection Committee.
