Overview of NPCIL KKNPP Stipendiary Trainee Recruitment 2026
The Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd. (NPCIL), Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project (KKNPP), has issued advertisement number NPCIL/KKNPP/HRM/01/2026 to recruit 255 candidates for the position of Category-II Stipendiary Trainee/Technician (ST/TN). This selection process involves a two-year intensive training period, after which successful candidates will be inducted as Technician-B in Level-3 of the pay matrix.

Eligibility Criteria for KKNPP Trainee Posts
Candidates must meet the following educational requirements based on their chosen discipline:
- Plant Operator: HSC (10+2) or ISC with a Science stream (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
- Technician Trades (Electronics/Instrument Mechanic/Electrician/Fitter/Turner/Machinist/Welder): SSC (10th) with 50% marks in Science and Mathematics, plus a 2-year ITI certificate in the relevant trade. Candidates with less than 2 years of ITI training require 1 year of post-qualification experience.
English must have been a studied subject at the 10th standard level for all posts.
Age Limit and Relaxation
The age criteria for applicants are 18 to 24 years. Age relaxation is provided as per government norms:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (NCL): 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
Training Stipend and Post-Training Pay
During the 2-year training program, the stipend is distributed as follows:
- First Year: Rs. 20,000 per month
- Second Year: Rs. 22,000 per month
- Book Allowance: A one-time grant of Rs. 3,000
Upon completion of training, candidates are absorbed as Technician-B with a basic pay of Rs. 21,700 (Level-3) plus applicable allowances.
