Overview of RRC Eastern Railway Scouts & Guides Recruitment 2026
The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Eastern Railway, Kolkata has initiated a recruitment drive for 15 vacancies under the Scouts & Guides Quota for the 2026-27 cycle. This notification covers both Level-2 (Group C) and Level-1 (Erstwhile Group D) positions. Interested candidates must ensure they meet the mandatory Scouting/Guiding qualifications before applying.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications:
- Level-2 (Group C): 12th pass with at least 50% aggregate marks, or 10th pass plus a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC)/ITI approved by NCVT.
- Level-1 (Group D): 10th pass, or ITI, or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
Mandatory Scouts & Guides Qualification:
- Must be a President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger, or hold a Himalayan Wood Badge.
- Active member for at least 5 years (supported by a Certificate of Activeness).
- Attendance at two National/All India Railway level events and two State-level events is required.
Selection Process
The selection is based on a two-stage evaluation process:
- Stage-I (Written Test): A 60-minute objective and essay-type exam covering Scouts & Guides history, activities, and General Knowledge (Total 60 Marks).
- Stage-II (Certificate Marks): Assessment based on participation in various scouting events (Total 40 Marks).
- Medical Examination: Qualified candidates must pass the prescribed Railway Medical Fitness standards.

- Register using personal details to receive credentials.
- Log in, upload scanned documents (photograph, signature, certificates), and pay the application fee.

Important Application Warnings
Ensure that all uploaded documents are self-attested. Candidates applying for both Level-1 and Level-2 must submit separate applications and fees. Incomplete, illegible, or incorrectly formatted photographs/signatures will lead to immediate rejection.
