Overview of State Bank of India (SBI) Junior Associate Recruitment 2026
The State Bank of India (SBI) has initiated a Special Recruitment Drive under advertisement number CRPD/CR/SPLDRIVE/2026-27/16. This drive aims to fill 1538 backlog vacancies for the post of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) within the clerical cadre. This recruitment is exclusively for candidates belonging to SC, ST, and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) categories. General, EWS, and other unreserved categories are not eligible to apply.

Eligibility for SBI Junior Associate Post
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification as of 31.12.2026. Final year students may apply provisionally.
- Age Limit: Applicants must be between 20 and 28 years old as of 01.04.2026.
- Age Relaxation: Standard government relaxations apply (SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years).
- Language Proficiency: Candidates must be proficient in the official local language of the state they are applying to.
Selection Process
The selection process comprises three phases:
- Preliminary Examination: 100 marks objective test (1 hour).
- Main Examination: 200 marks objective test (2 hours 40 minutes).
- Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT): Conducted for those who have not studied the state's local language in Class 10 or 12.
Important Application Instructions
Candidates can apply for vacancies in only one state or Union Territory. Multiple applications will lead to disqualification. Ensure that all scanned documents, including the photograph, signature, and left-hand thumb impression, adhere to the specifications provided in the official notification. The application fee for OBC candidates is Rs. 750/-, while SC/ST/PwBD/XS candidates are exempted from fees.
