Eligibility Criteria for Tezpur University Design Faculty Posts
Educational Qualifications
- Essential Criteria: Ph.D. degree in Design, Interaction Design, Product Design, or Visual Communication Design.
- Alternative Criteria: First-class Bachelor’s Degree or minimum 4-year Diploma in Design, Fine Arts, Applied Arts, or Architecture, OR First-class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering AND First-class Master’s Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Applied Arts, Architecture, Interaction Design, New Media Studies, Design Management, Ergonomics, Human Factors Engineering, or Indian Craft Studies.
Desirable Experience
- Minimum 2 years of professional design experience in industry, research organizations, or design institutions.
- Teaching or research experience at a recognized University or Institute of National Importance.
Selection Process
Selection for both Assistant Professor (Contractual) and Guest Faculty positions will follow standard academic criteria:
- Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on academic scores as per UGC Regulations, 2018 (Appendix II, Table 3A).
- Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview before the selection committee.
