Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualifications

To qualify for the Curator position, applicants must fulfill strict educational benchmarks paired with mandatory hands-on museum experience:

• Primary Educational Qualification: Master's degree with at least 55% marks in Museology / History of Art from a recognized University or equivalent; OR
• Alternative Qualification: Master's degree with at least 55% marks in Ancient Indian History / Sanskrit / Pali / Prakrit / Persian / Arabic / Archaeology / Anthropology / Fine Arts or equivalent / allied subjects from a recognized University, along with a diploma or certificate in Museology from a recognized Institution.
• Required Experience: A minimum of 3 years of museum experience is mandatory, which must include practical work in collection, conservation, preservation, and exhibition of art objects.

Age Limit & Category Relaxations

The upper age limit for applicants is set at a maximum of 40 years as on the last date of application. Age, qualifications, and experience are calculated strictly as on the closing date.

Category-wise age relaxations are applicable in accordance with existing Government of India and UGC policies:

• OBC Candidates: 3 years relaxation
• SC / ST Candidates: 5 years relaxation
• PwBD Candidates: 10 years (UR), 13 years (OBC), and 15 years (SC/ST) relaxation
• Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation as per Govt. of India norms

Salary Structure & Contractual Terms

The selected candidate will be engaged on a contractual basis for a duration of 12 months. The position carries a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 40,000 per month.

Selection Procedure & Interview Stage

The selection process is structured to evaluate both professional competence and academic background through a multi-tier framework:

• Stage 1 (Screening): Initial scrutiny of online applications and submitted testimonials by a dedicated screening committee. Meeting minimum eligibility does not guarantee an interview call.
• Stage 2 (Interview): Shortlisted candidates will be invited to appear for a personal interview before the selection committee.
• Stage 3 (Document Verification): Verification of original academic certificates, experience proof, and medical examination prior to final appointment.
