Subject-wise Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must ensure they satisfy the education qualifications designated for each category prior to submitting their application:
- TGT (Arts): Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Commerce with at least 50% marks and B.Ed; or Senior Secondary (12th) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.El.Ed.
- TGT (Non-Medical): B.Sc (Non-Medical) with at least 50% marks and B.Ed; or Senior Secondary (12th) with 50% marks and 4-year B.El.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
- TGT (Medical): B.Sc (Medical) with 50% marks and B.Ed; or Senior Secondary with 50% marks and 4-year B.El.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
- JBT: Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks along with a 2-year Junior Basic Training (JBT) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
- Shastri (Sanskrit): Shastri degree from an institution recognized by the Himachal Pradesh Government with 50% marks.
- Language Teachers (Hindi/Punjabi/Urdu): Bachelor’s degree in the respective language elective or PG in the language with minimum 50% marks, plus B.Ed or 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Special Educators: D.Ed / D.El.Ed / B.Ed in Special Education from an RCI-approved institute with a valid Rehabilitation Council of India registration certificate.
