The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the results for the written portion of the Combined Geo-Scientist (Main) Examination 2026 on 20th July 2026. The examination was conducted on 20th and 21st June 2026. Candidates who successfully cleared the written phase are now shortlisted for the Interview/Personality Test stage.
A total of 258 candidates have been provisionally selected for the next round. Note that many candidates are listed under multiple service categories. The distribution is as follows:

The candidature of all shortlisted individuals is provisional and depends on the verification of original documents. UPSC will soon open an online portal at upsconline.nic.in for candidates to update their educational details, service preferences, and address information. This data will be treated as final. Failure to update records or provide necessary proof of passing the qualifying examination may result in the cancellation of candidature.
