WBJEE JELET 2026 Tie-Breaking Criteria
In the event that two or more candidates achieve the same aggregate score, the WBJEEB applies a standardized tie-breaking policy to determine rank:
- The candidate with fewer negative marks in the overall examination is awarded a higher rank.
- If the tie persists, the candidate with the higher combined score in Engineering Mechanics and Strength of Materials is prioritized.
Post-Result Counselling Procedures
Qualifying candidates are eligible to participate in the online counselling process managed by the WBJEEB. This phase involves online registration, payment of counselling fees, choice filling, and seat allotment. All seat allocations are conducted strictly based on the GMR. If a candidate's category claims are found inaccurate during document verification, their rank will be treated under the General category for admission purposes.
