Overview of DGQA Technician Recruitment 2026
The Directorate General of Quality Assurance (DGQA), operating under the Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, has released a notification for the direct recruitment of 14 Group 'C' Non-Ministerial, Industrial posts. The selection process involves a written test and a trade test. Candidates are required to submit their applications offline via Registered or Speed Post to the Controllerate of Quality Assurance (Systems), Secunderabad.
Vacancy Details
Vacancies are distributed across various establishment codes in Secunderabad, Bengaluru, Jabalpur, and Chandigarh. Selected candidates will undergo a two-year probation period.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Indian Nationals only.
- Age Limit: 18 to 27 years as of the application closing date. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Servicemen/Departmental candidates) per government rules.
- Qualifications:
- Technician (Skilled): Matriculation + ITI pass in relevant trade + 1 year of trade experience.
- Technician (Semi-Skilled): ITI pass in the relevant trade.
Selection Process
The selection will be strictly merit-based, conducted through:
- Written Test: 100 Objective type (MCQ) questions covering General Intelligence, General Awareness, English, and Numerical Aptitude (90 minutes, no negative marking).
- Trade Test: Qualifying in nature (100 marks, minimum 40 required).

- Download and print the application format and admit card (Appendix A, B, or C).
- Attach self-attested copies of educational certificates, date of birth proof, and caste certificates (if applicable).
- Affix one passport-sized photograph on the form and on each admit card copy.
- Include a self-addressed envelope (30cm x 12cm) with a Rs. 55 stamp affixed.
- Send the completed package via Registered or Speed Post to: Controllerate of Quality Assurance (Systems), DGQA Technical Complex, Manovikas Nagar P.O., Secunderabad – 500009.
Important Warnings
