Eligibility Requirements
Candidates must ensure they meet the following criteria before applying:
- Educational Qualification: SSC or HSC pass with a government-recognized Female Health Workers Basic Training Course OR ANM Course certificate registered with the Gujarat Nursing Council.
- Computer Knowledge: Candidates must possess basic computer knowledge as per the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967. Proof of this qualification is required at the time of appointment.
- Age Limit: The minimum age is 18 years. Maximum age limits are 40 years for General candidates, with applicable relaxations for reserved categories (up to 45-50 years depending on category and disability status).
Salary Structure
Selected candidates are appointed on a fixed-pay basis for an initial duration of five years at a monthly salary of ₹26,000. Upon successful completion of this period, the position is eligible for regularization under the 7th Pay Commission pay scale (Level-2: ₹19,900 – ₹63,200), subject to performance and ongoing judicial proceedings.
Exam Pattern and Selection
The selection is based on a single-stage objective-type competitive exam (210 marks). There is no interview.
- Part A (90 marks): Reasoning, Data Interpretation, Quantitative Aptitude, Indian Constitution, Current Affairs, and Language Comprehension.
- Part B (120 marks): Technical domain knowledge related to nursing and health.
Warning: A negative marking of 0.25 marks applies for every incorrect answer. A minimum qualifying score of 40% in each part is mandatory.
