AP ICET 2026 Exam Overview

The Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test (AP ICET-2026) is a state-level entrance examination conducted by Andhra University on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). This exam is the gateway for students seeking admission into first-year MBA and MCA programs across various professional colleges in Andhra Pradesh.

The examination is conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) and evaluates candidates on their logical reasoning, mathematical proficiency, and English communication skills.

AP ICET 2026 Exam Pattern

Understanding the structure of the exam is crucial for effective preparation. The AP ICET 2026 consists of 200 multiple-choice questions to be completed within 150 minutes.

1. Analytical Ability (75 Marks)

This section tests logical thinking and data interpretation skills.

2. Communication Ability (70 Marks)

This section assesses command over the English language and business terminology.

• Business & Computer Terminology: Terms used in corporate environments and basic computing.
• Reading Comprehension: Understanding passages and extracting logical inferences.
• Functional Grammar: Basic rules of English grammar in professional and daily contexts.

3. Mathematical Ability (55 Marks)

Focuses on numerical concepts from high school to intermediate level.

• Arithmetical Ability: Percentages, Profit & Loss, Ratio & Proportion, Time & Work, Simple/Compound Interest.
• Algebraical & Geometrical Ability: Sets, Relations, Functions, Trigonometry, Matrices, and Progressions.
• Statistical Ability: Mean, Median, Mode, Standard Deviation, and Probability.

AP ICET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

• For MBA: A recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 or 4 years duration.
• For MCA: A Bachelor’s degree with Mathematics at the Intermediate (10+2) or Degree level.
• Minimum Marks: Candidates must have secured at least 50% (45% for reserved categories) in the qualifying examination.
