Andhra University has released a comprehensive recruitment notification for 2026, inviting applications for various faculty positions across 19 State Universities in Andhra Pradesh. This recruitment drive aims to fill 1,523 vacancies for the posts of Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Lecturer, and Assistant Librarian.

The recruitment includes both regular and backlog vacancies to strengthen the academic workforce in the state universities. Below is the post-wise distribution:

• Associate Professor: 334 Posts
• Professor: 63 Posts
• Lecturer (RGUKT): 104 Posts
• Assistant Librarian: 02 Posts

Eligibility Criteria for AP Teaching Jobs

Candidates must meet the academic requirements as per UGC/AICTE and State Government norms:

• Assistant Professor: Master’s degree with 55% marks plus qualifying in NET/SET/SLET or holding a Ph.D. as per UGC regulations.
• Associate Professor: Ph.D. in relevant discipline, Master’s with 55%, minimum 8 years of teaching/research experience, and required research scores.
• Professor: Ph.D. with minimum 10 years of experience and 10 research publications.
• Lecturer (RGUKT): Bachelor's and Master's degree in relevant discipline with First Class.
• Assistant Librarian: Master's in Library Science/Information Science with 55% marks and NET/SLET or Ph.D.

Age Limit and Relaxations

The maximum age limit for applicants is 44 Years. Age relaxations are applicable as per government rules:

• SC / ST / BC / EWS Candidates: 5 Years Relaxation
• PwBD Candidates: 10 Years Relaxation

UGC Pay Scale & Salary Details

Selected candidates will be placed in the following pay levels:

• Assistant Professor: Level 10 (₹57,700 - ₹1,82,400)
• Associate Professor: Level 13A (₹1,31,400 - ₹2,17,100)
• Professor: Level 14 (₹1,44,200 - ₹2,18,200)

• OCI Candidates: ₹4200 (USD 50)

Selection Process

The selection methodology varies by post type:

• Assistant Professor: Includes a Computer Based Test (CBT), screening of academic scores, and a personal interview.
• Professor/Associate Professor: Shortlisting based on Research & Academic Score Evaluation followed by an interview.
