The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has officially released the exam pattern and syllabus for the Home Guard (Junior Grade, Class I) recruitment 2026. Candidates appearing for this prestigious state-level examination must align their preparation with the prescribed topics to ensure success.
APSC Home Guard Exam Pattern 2026
The examination is designed to test both objective knowledge and analytical/descriptive writing skills. The exam is divided into two primary papers:
- Paper I (Objective MCQ): General Ability and Intelligence Test (200 Marks).
- Paper II (Descriptive): General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension (200 Marks).
Note: A minimum qualifying mark of 33% (66 marks) in each paper is mandatory. Paper II is only evaluated if a candidate clears Paper I.
