CARI Kolkata Research Vacancies 2026 Overview
The Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI), Kolkata, under the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), has announced a recruitment drive for various research-based positions. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with backgrounds in Ayurveda, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, and Life Sciences to contribute to significant research projects on a contractual basis.
Vacancy Details & Pay Scale
A total of 17 positions are available across different specializations. The salary includes a monthly stipend plus HRA as per rules.
- Senior Research Fellow (SRF) - Various: 09 Posts | Salary: ₹42,000 + 30% HRA
- Research Associate-1: 03 Posts | Salary: ₹58,000 + HRA
- Project Research Scientist I: 03 Posts | Salary: ₹56,000 + HRA
- Project Technical Support III: 03 Posts | Salary: ₹28,000 + HRA
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
- SRF (Ayurveda): B.A.M.S. degree. Candidates with M.D./M.S. (Ayurveda) or relevant research experience will be preferred.
- SRF (Pharmacognosy/Botany): M.Pharm (Pharmacognosy) / M.Sc. (Botany/Biotechnology/Life Science) with 2 years of research experience.
- Research Associate-1: Ph.D. in relevant fields (Pharmacology/Medicinal Plants) or MD/M.V.Sc/M.Pharm with research publications.
- Project Technical Support III: Graduate in Zoology with 3 years experience or Post Graduate in Zoology with 1 year experience.
Age Limit
- Most Posts: Maximum 35 years.
- Research Associate-1: Maximum 40 years.
- Age relaxation applies for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government of India norms.
