Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must ensure they meet the following eligibility conditions as of the closing date, June 7, 2026:

• Educational Qualification: Degree in Mining Engineering (B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering) with a minimum of 60% marks. For SC/ST candidates, the minimum requirement is 55% marks.
• GATE Score Requirement: A valid GATE 2025 Score in Mining Engineering (Paper Code: MN) is mandatory. GATE scores from any other year will not be considered.
• Nationality: Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.

Age Limit (As of 30-04-2026)

• General (UR) / EWS: 30 Years
• OBC (NCL): 33 Years (3 years relaxation)
• SC / ST: 35 Years (5 years relaxation)

Salary and Benefits

Selected candidates will be placed in the E-1 Grade in the scale of Rs. 60,000 - 1,80,000/-. During the one-year training period, the initial basic pay will be Rs. 60,000 per month. Upon successful completion of training, candidates will be confirmed as Officers in the E-1 Grade.

Selection Process

The selection methodology involves the following stages:

1. Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted in a 1:3 ratio based on their GATE 2025 marks/scores.
2. Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates must present original documents for verification.
3. Medical Examination: Final selection is subject to passing the Initial Medical Examination (IME) conducted by the CIL medical board.
