Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for the GESCOM Apprenticeship:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed their BE/B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics or a 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Passing Year: Only those who have passed their qualifying examination after January 2022 are eligible to apply.
- Language Proficiency: Ability to read and write Kannada is mandatory.
- Domicile: Preference will be given to candidates belonging to Karnataka State.
- Restrictions: Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961, are not eligible.

Monthly Stipend
Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend as per government norms:
- Engineering Degree Holders (BE): ₹9,000/- per month
- Diploma Holders: ₹8,000/- per month
Note: No additional allowances for food or accommodation will be provided during the one-year training period.
Selection Process
The selection is strictly based on Merit. Candidates will be shortlisted based on the marks obtained in their respective qualifying examinations (Degree or Diploma). There is no written test or interview mentioned in the official notification.
