IIT Delhi Project Scientist Recruitment 2026
The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) has released an official recruitment notification (Advt No: IITD/IRD/124/2026) for the position of Project Scientist. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must possess a First-class or equivalent degree in B.Tech or M.Sc. in one of the following disciplines:
- Condensed Matter Physics
- Solid State Physics
- Nanoscience & Technology
- Materials Science or equivalent
- Desirable Experience: Preference will be given to candidates who have qualified in national-level exams like GATE, CSIR-UGC-NET (including Lectureship), or IIT JAM.
- Technical expertise in thin-film deposition, plasma-based vapor deposition, material characterization, and scientific writing is highly valued.
Age Limit
- The maximum age limit is 35 years as of the closing date of the application.
- Age relaxation will be applicable for reserved categories as per the Government of India (GoI) rules.
Selection Process
The selection will follow a two-step process:
- Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their educational qualifications and relevant research experience.
