Application Fee

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. programme at JMI, candidates must satisfy the following academic conditions:

  • Candidates must hold a Master's degree or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) from a recognized University or Institute.
  • A relaxation of 5% marks (from 55% to 50%) or an equivalent relaxation of grade may be allowed for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled and other categories as per UGC regulations.
  • Candidates who have cleared UGC/CSIR NET/JRF or equivalent national level exams may be exempted from the written test, but they must register online and appear for the interview. Detailed criteria will be available in the prospectus.
