The Telangana Common Post Graduate Entrance Test (TG CPGET) 2026 has been officially announced. This state-level entrance exam, conducted by Kakatiya University on behalf of various Telangana universities, serves as the primary gateway for students seeking admission into various Postgraduate (PG) and PG Diploma programmes for the 2026 academic session.
The entrance test facilitates admission into prestigious institutions including Osmania University, Kakatiya University, Telangana University, Mahatma Gandhi University, Palamuru University, Satavahana University, Veeranari Chakali Ilamma Women’s University, JNTUH, and Dr. Manmohan Singh Earth Sciences University.
The TG CPGET 2026 will be conducted as an Online Computer Based Test (CBT). Key highlights include:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 40% aggregate marks (pass marks are sufficient for SC/ST candidates). Students currently appearing for their final year examinations are also eligible to apply.
Candidates are selected based on their performance in the entrance test, followed by a web-based counselling process, certificate verification, and final seat allotment based on category and merit rank.
