NABARD Grade A Exam Pattern 2026: Selection Process Overview

The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) conducts the Grade A recruitment to hire Assistant Managers. The selection process for 2026 is divided into three comprehensive phases designed to test the candidate's proficiency in general awareness, economic issues, and rural development.

The Preliminary exam serves as a screening test. It consists of 8 sections. Importantly, candidates should note that certain sections are qualifying, while others are merit-based for shortlisting to the Mains.

NABARD Grade A Main Exam Pattern 2026

The Main exam consists of two papers. Paper I is common for all, while Paper II varies depending on whether the candidate applied for the Generalist or Specialist post.

1. Generalist Post Pattern

  • Paper I: General English (Descriptive) - 3 Questions, 100 Marks, 90 Minutes (Typed via keyboard).
  • Paper II: ESI & ARD (Objective + Descriptive) - 100 Marks, 120 Minutes total. (Objective: 30 Questions, 50 Marks; Descriptive: 4 Questions to be attempted, 50 Marks).

2. Specialist Post Pattern

  • Paper I: General English (Descriptive) - 100 Marks.
  • Paper II: Stream-Specific Professional Knowledge (Objective + Descriptive) - 100 Marks.

Agriculture & Rural Development (ARD)
