NHAI Deputy Manager (Technical) Recruitment 2026 Notification

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), operating under the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, has announced a recruitment drive for 60 vacancies of Deputy Manager (Technical). This recruitment is on a direct basis, with selection strictly based on the GATE 2026 Score in the Civil Engineering discipline. The recruitment aims to fill 60 posts in Level-10 of the Pay Matrix as per the 7th CPC. The distribution of posts across categories is as follows:

• UR (Unreserved): 26 Posts
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 16 Posts
• SC (Scheduled Caste): 09 Posts
• ST (Scheduled Tribe): 04 Posts
• EWS (Economically Weaker Section): 05 Posts
• Total: 60 (Includes 04 posts for PwBD)

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institute. Candidates currently in their final year/semester whose results are pending may also apply, provided they submit their Provisional/Degree certificate by August 31, 2026.

2. Mandatory Requirement

A valid GATE 2026 Score in the Civil Engineering discipline is mandatory for selection.

3. Age Limit (As of 15-06-2026)

The maximum age should not exceed 30 years. Relaxations are applicable as per Government of India norms:

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC (NCL): 3 years
• PwBD: 10 to 15 years based on category

Salary and Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level 10 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, with a pay scale of Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500/-. Additionally, Central Dearness Allowance (CDA) and other benefits as per NHAI rules will be provided.

Selection Process

The selection will be finalized based on the GATE 2026 Score in Civil Engineering. NHAI will not conduct a separate written examination. If a large number of applications are received, NHAI reserves the right to set shortlisting criteria or conduct interviews/interactions. In case of a tie in scores, the older candidate (by date of birth) will be ranked higher.

Service Bond Requirement

Successful candidates are required to execute a Service Bond of Rs. 5.00 Lakhs to serve the Authority for a minimum period of 3 years from the date of joining.
