NIELIT Teaching Faculty Recruitment 2026 – 68 Vacancies Across India
The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), an autonomous scientific society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), has announced a major recruitment drive for Teaching Faculty positions. Applications are invited for the roles of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor on a contract basis for various NIELIT centers across India.

Selected candidates will be placed at various centers including Calicut, Patna, Gorakhpur, and others. The positions are initially for a period of one year, extendable based on performance.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Assistant Professor: B.E./B.Tech and M.E./M.Tech in a relevant branch with First Class, OR B.E./B.Tech with First Class and a Ph.D. For Humanities, a Master’s degree with 55% plus NET/SLET or Ph.D. is required.
- Associate Professor: Ph.D. in a relevant branch with at least 6 years of teaching/research experience and 6 research publications.
- Professor: Ph.D. with a minimum of 10 years of experience, including 3 years at the Associate Professor level, and a strong track record of publications and Ph.D. guidance.
Age Limit:
The maximum age limit is 50 years as of the last date of application submission.
