SCERT Assam D.El.Ed PET Admission 2026 Overview
The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Assam has officially released the notification for the D.El.Ed Pre-Entry Test (PET) 2026. This entrance exam is the gateway for admission into the 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education programme for the 2026-2028 academic session across various government and private Elementary Teacher Education Institutes (ETEIs) in Assam.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates aspiring to apply for the D.El.Ed programme must meet the following requirements:
- Nationality: Must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- Age Limit: 18 to 34 years as of 2026-07-01. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories (SC/ST) as per government norms.
- Educational Qualification: Must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST candidates).
Exam Pattern
The PET 2026 will be an objective-type offline examination. Key features include:

- Total Questions: 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
- Total Marks: 100.
- Duration: 2 Hours.
