The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the Revised First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA) for the Stenographer Grade 'C' and 'D' Examination, 2025. This revision, dated 31 July 2026, follows a comprehensive review of the Stenography Skill Test evaluation prompted by candidate representations.
To fill unutilized vacancies, the Commission has implemented a 'Sliding Mechanism'. Candidates must participate in this process to be considered for reallocation.

Warning: Candidates who fail to attend the sliding process in person at the designated Regional Office will be marked absent and disqualified from the final allocation process.
Post and department allocation is based on merit and the online post preferences submitted by candidates. In the event of a tie in aggregate marks, the following criteria are applied in order: 1. Marks in Part-III (English Language), 2. Marks in Part-II (General Awareness), 3. Date of Birth (older candidate preferred), 4. Alphabetical order of name.
The sliding mechanism provides a single round of reallocation for vacancies that remain unutilized, ensuring maximum filling of posts and providing fair opportunities to merit-listed candidates.
