Eligibility Criteria

The admission is primarily based on the marks obtained in the Class 12th (HSC) examinations.

Educational Qualification

  • For B.Sc. & Diploma (Agri/Horti): Must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics. Vocational stream candidates with relevant agricultural subjects are also eligible.
  • For B.Tech / Diploma (Agri Engineering): Must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. (Vocational stream not eligible for B.Tech).

Age Limit (as on 01.07.2026)

  • General Candidates: Maximum 21 years.
  • SC/ST/SCA Candidates: No upper age limit.

Application Fee

Candidates must pay the fee online through the admission portal:

  • General / BC / MBC / DNC: ₹200
  • SC / SCA / ST: ₹100

Selection Process

Admission to TNAU is strictly Merit-Based. The university will calculate a cut-off score based on the marks obtained in core subjects in the 12th standard. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for the online/offline counselling process based on their rank in the merit list.
