The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has released the comprehensive syllabus and exam pattern for the Combined Technical Services (CTS) Examination 2026. TNPSC CTS Exam Pattern 2026
The selection for the CTS examination is divided into two primary papers:
- Paper I: Tamil Eligibility Test (100 Questions, 150 Marks) and General Studies/Aptitude (100 Questions). This paper is 3 hours long.
- Paper II: Technical/Subject Paper (200 Questions, 300 Marks). This paper is also 3 hours long.
Note: The Tamil Eligibility Test is qualifying in nature, and there is a negative marking of 1/3 mark for every incorrect answer in the objective-type papers.
