Overview of TSPSC Forest Beat Officer Recruitment 2026

The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) conducts the Forest Beat Officer (FBO) examination to recruit eligible candidates for field-level forest management duties. The selection process consists of a written examination, followed by a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Medical Test (PMT), and document verification. Applicants must qualify in both the written phase and the physical standards to be considered for final selection.

TSPSC Forest Beat Officer Examination Structure

The written examination is conducted in an objective, computer-based test (CBT) format. It comprises two papers, each carrying 100 marks with a duration of 90 minutes. There is a negative marking scheme where 1/3rd of a mark is deducted for each incorrect answer.

Physical Standards and NCC Considerations

NCC 'C' certificate holders are awarded 5 bonus marks, 'B' certificate holders 3 marks, and 'A' certificate holders 1 mark, provided they meet the minimum qualifying criteria set by the commission.
