The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts the Regional Rural Banks (RRB) Officer Scale-I (Probationary Officer) exam annually. To succeed in the 2026 recruitment cycle, candidates must have a clear understanding of the updated syllabus and exam structure. The selection process consists of three distinct phases: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and a Personal Interview.

1. Preliminary Examination (Objective)

The Prelims is a screening test. Candidates must clear the sectional and overall cutoff to qualify for the Mains.

  • Puzzles: Floor, Month, Box, and Scheduling based puzzles.
  • Seating Arrangement: Circular, Linear, Square, and Parallel Row arrangements.
  • Logical Reasoning: Syllogism, Inequality (Coded/Direct), Blood Relations, and Direction Sense.
  • Miscellaneous: Coding-Decoding, Alphanumeric Series, Order & Ranking, and Input-Output.
  • Critical Reasoning (Mains Only): Statement & Assumption, Course of Action, and Cause & Effect.

Quantitative Aptitude
