IBPS RRB 2026 Recruitment Overview
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the official notification for the Common Recruitment Process (CRP RRBs XV). This recruitment drive aims to fill 13,706 vacancies for Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and Officer Scale-I, II, and III across 28 Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) in India. The application window is open from 1 September 2026 to 21 September 2026.
Vacancy Distribution
The total of 13,706 vacancies is distributed across various cadres:
- Office Assistant (Multipurpose): 8,183 posts
- Officer Scale-I: 4,256 posts
- Officer Scale-II & III: 1,267 posts
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university. For Officer Scale-I and Office Assistant, proficiency in the local language of the state/UT is mandatory. Candidates must have their final result declared on or before 21 September 2026. Minimum percentage requirements apply for Scale-II and III positions.
Selection Process
The selection process varies by cadre:
- Office Assistant: Preliminary and Main Examination.
- Officer Scale-I: Preliminary, Main, and Interview.
- Officer Scale-II & III: Single Level Examination and Interview.
A negative marking of one-fourth of the marks assigned to a question applies at every stage.
