The Regional Science Centre (RSC), Bhubaneswar, a constituent unit of the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, has announced a recruitment drive for Trainee (Crafts) positions. This engagement is for a period of one year, with a potential extension for another year based on performance. Eligible candidates with ITI certificates in relevant trades are invited for a walk-in aptitude and trade test.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following educational requirements to be eligible for the walk-in test:

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed SSC/Matriculation along with an ITI Certificate in the relevant trade (Electrical, Carpenter, Painter, or Turner) from a recognized government institution.
• Year of Passing: Only those candidates who have passed their ITI course on or after the year 2023 are eligible to apply.

Stipend and Duration

• Monthly Stipend: Selected candidates will receive a consolidated stipend of Rs. 22,000/- per month.
• Duration: The traineeship is initially for 1 year, which may be extended by one more year subject to satisfactory performance.

Selection Process

The selection will be conducted via a walk-in mode consisting of the following stages:

1. Document Verification: Verification of original certificates starting at 09:00 AM on the day of the interview.
2. Written Aptitude Test: A written test to assess the basic aptitude of candidates.
3. Trade Test: Candidates who qualify in the written test will undergo a practical trade test on the same day.
