AP Police Prakasam District Recruitment 2026 Overview

The 7th (IR) Battalion, Andhra Pradesh Special Police (APSP), Maddipadu, Prakasam District has issued notification No. 01/2026 dated August 31, 2026, for the engagement of 37 posts on an outsourcing basis. These vacancies span across nine administrative and support function roles under G.O.Ms.No. 120, Home (SER-III) Department, dated June 26, 2023. Eligibility Criteria: Education, Age Limit & Physical Fitness

Educational Qualifications by Post

• Record Assistant: Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent from a recognized board.
• Office Subordinate: SSC (10th Class) pass or equivalent qualification.
• Sweeper / Sweeper (Medical): Must have passed 7th Class or possess the ability to read and write.
• Scavenger / Scavenger (Medical): Must have passed 7th Class or possess the ability to read and write.
• Cook / Dhobi / Barber: Must have passed 7th Class or have read/write ability along with demonstrated proficiency/skill in the respective trade.

Age Criteria & Relaxations

Age limit is calculated as on July 1, 2026.

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age (General/Unreserved): 42 years
• Upper Age Relaxation: Up to 5 years relaxation for SC, ST, BC, and EWS candidates (Maximum age limit: 47 years).

General Disqualifications

Candidates will be rendered ineligible under the following circumstances:

• Engaged in a bigamous marriage without statutory exemption.
• Dismissed from Central or State Government services, local authorities, or public undertakings.
• Convicted by a court of law for an offence involving moral turpitude.
• Involvement in canvassing or bringing external political/administrative influence.

Remuneration & Service Benefits

All 37 outsourcing positions carry a consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 15,000/-.

• Casual Leave: Entitled to 1 casual leave per month.
• Maternity Leave: In accordance with G.O.Ms.No. 17, Finance (HR-I-Plg-Policy) Department, dated January 31, 2019, married women outsourcing employees are eligible for 180 days of paid maternity leave along with statutory EPF and ESI benefits.

Selection Process & Exam Scheme

Selection involves a multi-stage evaluation based on written tests, skill checks, and interviews totaling 100 marks. Shortlisting for the interview stage is conducted in a 1:5 ratio based on preliminary evaluation scores.

Written Test Syllabus & Structure

• Record Assistant Written Test (55 Marks, 60 Mins - 10th Standard): Telugu (10), English (10), General Knowledge (15), Mathematics (10), Social Studies (10).
• Record Assistant Computer Practical Test (20 Marks, 30 Mins): MS Office operational knowledge.
• Office Subordinate Written Test (75 Marks, 90 Mins - 10th Standard): Telugu (15), English (15), General Knowledge (15), Mathematics (15), Social Studies (15).

Trade Skill Test Distribution (60 Marks Each)

• Cook: Breakfast preparation (10), Meal preparation (15), Quality & taste (10), Ingredient knowledge (10), Hygiene (5), Equipment handling (5), Efficiency (5).
• Dhobi: Clothes washing (20), Stain removal (10), Ironing (15), Fabric care (5), Equipment handling (5), Efficiency (5).
• Barber: Hair cutting (25), Shaving/trimming (15), Customer handling & speed (10), Tool maintenance (5), Safety & hygiene (5).
• Sweeper: Premise sweeping (20), Floor mopping/cleaning (10), Waste segregation & disposal (10), Tool usage (10), Overall cleanliness (10).
• Scavenger: Toilet/washroom cleaning & sanitization (30), Sanitary waste disposal (10), Disinfectant usage (10), Quality of work (10).

How to Submit Application

1. Obtain the printed application form from the Commandant's Office at Maddipadu or download the official form.
2. Fill in all mandatory fields with accurate personal details, educational qualifications, and contact information.
3. Affix a clear recent passport-size photograph on the specified space.

Important Service Conditions & Warning

• Service Bond: Selected candidates must sign a bond committing to complete at least 1 year of continuous service. Resigning before 1 year (except to join a regular government post) will result in forfeiture of Rs. 10,000/- to the State Government.
• Headquarter Residence: Selected personnel must reside at the designated Battalion Headquarters and be available on call 24x7 for operational emergencies.
