CSIR CSMCRI Project Associate Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
Applicants must meet either of the following educational criteria from a recognized university or institute:
- Science Stream: M.Sc. Degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or Botany.
- Engineering Stream: B.E. or B.Tech. in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Fermentation Technology, Bioprocess Engineering, or Industrial Biotechnology.
Age Limit & Relaxation

Stipend and Emoluments
The monthly stipend awarded to the selected candidate depends on qualifications and national exam status:
- Rs. 31,000/- + HRA per month: For candidates selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE, or a selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
- Rs. 25,000/- + HRA per month: For candidates who do not fall under the above criteria.
