ICAR IARI Recruitment 2026 Overview

ICAR Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) has issued an official recruitment notification for contractual posts of Junior Research Fellow/Senior Research Fellow (JRF/SRF) and Field Assistant. Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications

Educational Qualifications

• JRF / SRF: Master’s degree in Horticulture, Fruit Science, Genetics, Plant Breeding, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, or Life Sciences with a 4/5-year Bachelor’s degree. Candidates holding a 3-year Bachelor’s degree in Basic Sciences must possess a Master’s degree along with NET/GATE qualification or a Ph.D. degree in the relevant discipline.
• Field Assistant: B.Sc., 3-year Diploma in Engineering and Technology, or a Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized institution.

Age Limits

• Field Assistant: Maximum 50 years.
• JRF / SRF: Maximum 35 years for male candidates and 40 years for female candidates.
• Age Relaxation: Category-wise relaxation for SC, ST, and OBC candidates applies in accordance with Government of India and ICAR regulations.

Selection Process

Selection for all posts will proceed in two stages:
