ICAR IARI Senior Research Fellow (SRF) Recruitment 2026
The Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR IARI) has released a new recruitment notification for the position of Senior Research Fellow (SRF). This is an excellent opportunity for post-graduates in the field of Genetics, Plant Breeding, and Biotechnology to contribute to high-impact agricultural research projects.
Vacancy Details & Projects
The recruitment is for 2 SRF positions under specific research projects:
- Project 1: Molecular breeding for improvement of tolerance to biotic and abiotic stresses, yield and quality traits in Mustard (1 Post).

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following educational requirements to be eligible:
- Primary Qualification: Master’s degree in Genetics, Plant Breeding, Genetics and Plant Breeding, or Biotechnology.
- Degree Duration: Candidates must have a 4/5 years Bachelor’s degree.
- For 3-Year Bachelor’s Holders: Candidates with a 3-year bachelor's degree must also possess a UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification or a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.
- Desirable: Proficiency in Bioinformatics and experience with molecular markers.
Age Limit & Salary
- Maximum Age: 35 years.
- Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST and Women candidates; 3 years for OBC candidates.
- Salary: Rs. 37,000 + 30% HRA per month.
Selection Process
