• OBC Certificate Validity: OBC-NCL and EWS certificates must be issued on or after April 1, 2026, in accordance with the current guidelines of the Government of West Bengal. OBC candidates without a valid, updated Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) certificate will be treated under the Unreserved (UR) category.
• Seat Conversion: If vacant seats remain in the SC category, they will be allocated to ST candidates, and vice-versa.
• Domicile Rules: Domicile certificates issued by elected public representatives (such as Municipal Commissioners, Councilors, Panchayat Members, GTA members, MLAs, or MPs) are strictly invalid. Candidates must present a domicile certificate issued by the prescribed competent administrative authority.
• Parental Domicile Verification: If the domicile certificate (under Proforma b or e-District) is based on parental residency, the candidate must produce two original ID proofs of the parent (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, or Passport) showing the West Bengal residential address during verification.
