The Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Kalpakkam, a premier research establishment under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, has released notification IGCAR/03/2026 for the engagement of 200 ITI Trade Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. This training program offers candidates an opportunity to gain hands-on industrial experience at a state-of-the-art atomic research facility.
The 200 apprentice positions are distributed across 18 specialized trades. Selected candidates will be trained at the IGCAR campus in Tamil Nadu.

Candidates must possess an ITI pass certificate in the relevant trade. Previous or ongoing apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 renders a candidate ineligible. The selection process is strictly based on the merit of ITI marks. In the event of a tie, academic performance in the 10th (or 8th, where applicable) standard will be the deciding factor, followed by the age of the candidate.
