Eligibility Criteria for IMSc Recruitment 2026

Educational Qualification:
- Project Associate - I: Four-year Bachelor's degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences or Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent. Candidates qualified in national-level examinations (CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, JAM) may be eligible for higher remuneration.
- Research Associate - I: Ph.D. in Physics / Mathematics / Computer Science / Quantum Science / Engineering or Technology / a relevant discipline from a recognized University/Institute. Candidates who have submitted/defended their Ph.D. thesis and are awaiting degree award are also eligible.
- Project Technical Assistant [Level-II]: Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering with minimum 55% marks from a reputed college/institution approved by Government/AICTE. Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in operation and maintenance of 11 kV/433 V electrical substations and associated systems is mandatory. Valid Electrical Supervisor Competency Certificate (C-License) issued by CEIG, Govt. is also required.
Age Limit:
- Maximum age limit for all posts is 40 years as on the last date of application.
- Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government of India rules for reserved categories.
Salary / Stipend
