The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (MSU Baroda) has released an official recruitment notification for the posts of Survey & Cataloguing Expert, Conservation Expert, Assistant Conservator, and Script & Language Expert. Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualifications

1. Survey & Cataloguing Expert

• Educational Qualification: Master's degree in Sanskrit, Pali, Prakrit, Linguistics, or Manuscriptology OR Master's degree in History, Archaeology, or Library & Information Science with a Diploma/PG Diploma in Manuscriptology or Conservation.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of practical experience in manuscript survey, cataloguing, preservation, and transcription.

2. Conservation Expert

• Educational Qualification: Master's Degree in Science (with Chemistry at Graduation Level) OR Master's Degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Art Conservation, History, Archaeology, Museology, or equivalent.
• Training: Formal training of not less than six months in Conservation of Manuscripts and Art objects from a national-level institution like NRLC.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in manuscript preservation and conservation.

3. Assistant Conservator

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Science (with Chemistry at Graduation Level) OR Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Art Conservation, History, Archaeology, Museology, or equivalent subject.

4. Script & Language Expert

• Educational Qualification: Master's Degree in Sanskrit, Pali, Prakrit, History, Urdu, Persian, or any language listed in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution.
• Technical Skills: Expertise in scripts like Brahmi, Sarada, Grantha, Bengali, Odiya, Telugu, or Tamil.
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in script reading, decoding, translation, and editing.

The selection process consists of two stages:
