NIT Agartala Non-Teaching Recruitment 2026 for 51 Post Vacancies - Apply Online

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala has released an official recruitment notification (No. F.NITA.2(519-Estt)/2019/Vol-III/4473) for filling up 51 Non-Teaching vacancies on a direct recruitment basis. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their online applications via the official website from 20 September 2026 to 20 October 2026.

NIT Agartala Recruitment 2026 Overview

The recruitment drive is conducted for various Group-B and Group-C positions under the 7th CPC pay levels. Online applications must be submitted directly through the Institute portal; no hard copies or offline forms will be entertained.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

Interested candidates must satisfy the educational requirements corresponding to each post code before applying:

• Technical Assistant: First Class B.E./B.Tech/MCA in the relevant discipline, OR First Class Diploma in Engineering with an excellent academic record, OR First Class B.Sc., OR Master's Degree in Science with at least 50% marks.
• Junior Engineer (Civil/Electrical): First Class B.E./B.Tech or First Class Diploma in Civil/Electrical Engineering.
• Library & Information Assistant: First Class Bachelor's Degree in Science/Arts/Commerce with a Bachelor's Degree in Library and Information Science.
• SAS Assistant: First Class Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education with active participation/track record in sports/co-curricular activities during college.
• Pharmacist: 10+2 in Science with 2 years' First Class Diploma in Pharmacy and 2 years' experience in a recognized hospital/pharmacy OR B.Pharma. Must be a registered pharmacist.
• Senior Technician: 10+2 with Science (at least 60% marks), OR 10+2 with at least 50% marks and 1-year ITI, OR 10th with 60% marks and 2-year ITI, OR 3-year Diploma in Engineering.
• Technician: 10+2 with Science (at least 60% marks), OR 10+2 with 50% marks and 1-year ITI, OR 10th with 60% marks and 2-year ITI, OR 3-year Diploma in Engineering.
• Lab Attendant: 10+2 in Science from a recognized Board.

Age Limit and Relaxations

The calculation cut-off date for determining the age criteria is the closing date of applications (20 October 2026).

• Technical Assistant / JE / Library Assistant / SAS Assistant: Max 30 years
• Pharmacist / Technician / Lab Attendant: Max 27 years
• Senior Technician: Max 33 years
• Minimum Age Limit: 18 years for all positions.
• Relaxation: Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-Servicemen as per Government of India directives. Regular departmental candidates serving with minimum 3 years of continuous service are eligible for 5 years of age relaxation. Contractual/temporary staff at NIT Agartala get a one-time age relaxation up to 56 years.

Selection Process

Following the DoPT directives, there will be no personal interviews for any Group-B or Group-C positions. Selection will be purely based on merit determined through a Computer Based Test (CBT) and qualifying the designated Skill Test/Trade Test (wherever specified).
