Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
Candidates applying for the JRF vacancy must satisfy one of the following academic eligibility parameters:
- Option 1: B.Tech./ B.E. in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering / Aerospace Engineering / Materials Engineering; or M.E./ M.Tech. in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or relevant specialization, with a minimum of 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA at both UG and PG levels for General/ OBC-NCL/ EWS candidates (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates).
- Option 2: B.Tech./ B.E. or equivalent degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering / Mechanical Engineering with a minimum CGPA of 7.5/ 10 or 70% marks for Gen/ EWS/ OBC-NCL (minimum CGPA of 7.0/ 10 or 65% for SC/ ST/ PwD).
- Option 3: M.Sc. in Physics/ Chemistry/ Materials Science/ Electronics/ Nanoscience and Nanotechnology with M.Tech. in Materials Science/ Metallurgy/ Nanoscience and Nanotechnology/ Ceramic Engineering/ Surface Engineering, with a minimum of 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA at both UG and PG levels (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ ST/ PwD).
