Nationality
Candidates must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan (subject to an eligibility certificate issued by the Government of India).
Educational Qualification (as on 30.09.2026)
- For SI in Delhi Police / SI (GD) in CAPFs: Bachelor's degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
- For SI (Fire) in CISF: Bachelor's degree in Science with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognized university or equivalent; OR Matriculation plus a 3-year diploma in Mechanical/Civil/Electrical/Automobile/Chemical/Mining/Aeronautical/Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent.
- For SI in Delhi Police (Male candidates): Must possess a valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) on the date fixed for the Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT). Male candidates without a valid LMV license are eligible only for SI posts in CAPFs, not Delhi Police.

Physical Standard Test (PST) – Height & Chest Norms
PST is qualifying in nature. Height and chest requirements vary by post and candidate category. Female candidates do not have a minimum chest measurement requirement. Weight must correspond to height for all posts. Relaxations apply for candidates from hill areas, Scheduled Tribes, Gorkhas, and North-Eastern States upon production of a valid certificate.
Physical Endurance Test (PET)
PET is also qualifying/eliminating in nature and does not carry marks. Ex-Servicemen are exempted from PET.

Medical Examination (DME & RME)
Candidates qualifying Paper-II undergo a Detailed Medical Examination (DME) by CAPF Medical Officers. Those found unfit in DME can request a Review Medical Examination (RME). The decision of the Review Medical Board is final. DME/RME is mandatory but qualifying.
Document Verification
Document Verification (DV) is conducted by the CAPFs before the final result declaration, usually alongside the DME/RME stage. Candidates must present original documents along with self-attested copies and two passport-size colour photographs.
