Post-wise Qualification Criteria

Candidates applying for the SSSB Punjab Junior Engineer posts must satisfy the specific technical qualifications along with the mandatory state language qualification before the cutoff date.

• Junior Engineer (Civil): Must possess a 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution or university, OR higher qualification (B.E./B.Tech) in Civil Engineering.
• Junior Engineer (Mechanical): Must possess a 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution or university, OR higher qualification (B.E./B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering.
• Junior Engineer (Electrical): Must possess a 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution or university, OR higher qualification (B.E./B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering.
• Mandatory Language Requirement: As per Rule 17 of the Punjab Civil Services (General and Common Conditions of Service) Rules, 1994, all candidates must have passed the Matriculation (10th) examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any equivalent examination recognized by the Punjab Government.
