A total of 162 Green Marshal positions are distributed across the 14 districts of Kerala. Candidates must specify one preferred district when filling out the online application. Selection and posting will be conducted relative to the vacancies within the chosen district:

Eligibility Criteria

Before initiating the online registration, candidates must verify that they fulfill the official academic and age parameters established by the recruiting authority.

1. Educational Qualification

• The minimum required qualification is an SSLC Pass (10th Standard) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized board of education.

2. Age Limit (As of September 1, 2026)

• Minimum Age: 20 Years
• Maximum Age: 45 Years

Salary and Remuneration

Selected Green Marshals will receive a consolidated remuneration of ₹810 per day. Payment will be processed based on actual daily attendance and active engagement days. This deployment is purely temporary and is scheduled for a duration of one year. It does not warrant regular employment, permanent status, or absorption into the Directorate of Tourism or CMD.

Selection Methodology

The selection process does not involve any written exam or computer-based test. Instead, the selection will follow a structured merit-cum-interview criteria:

1. Merit Shortlisting: Initial shortlisting will be prepared district-wise. This is based entirely on the percentage of marks secured by the candidate in their SSLC or equivalent qualifying examination.
2. Interview/Proficiency Assessment: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to appear for a personal interview/proficiency test managed by the Directorate of Tourism.
3. Tie-Resolution Rules: If two or more candidates secure the same SSLC percentage, preference is assigned to residents of the respective district (subject to producing valid residential proof). If the tie persists, the older candidate will be placed higher on the merit rank list.
