The High Court of Delhi, New Delhi, has released an official recruitment notification for the Senior Personal Assistant (SPA) and Personal Assistant (PA) Examination 2026. This recruitment drive aims to fill 150 vacant Group 'B' posts on a direct recruitment basis, as well as compile a panel of selected candidates for future administrative requirements. Eligible and interested Indian citizens, along with subjects of Nepal holding valid eligibility certificates, can submit their online applications between September 15, 2026, and October 5, 2026.

A total of 150 vacancies are announced across two designations. The post of Senior Personal Assistant features vacancies in both general and reserved classifications. Notably, the post of Personal Assistant does not feature any vacancies under the General (Unreserved) category for this cycle; candidates from general categories are eligible to apply only for the Senior Personal Assistant posts.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications (As on October 5, 2026)
- Senior Personal Assistant: Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university. They must possess an English shorthand speed of at least 110 words per minute (w.p.m.) and a computer English typing speed of not less than 40 w.p.m., with good basic working knowledge of computer operations.
- Personal Assistant: Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university. They must possess an English shorthand speed of at least 100 words per minute (w.p.m.) and a computer English typing speed of not less than 40 w.p.m., along with practical working knowledge of computer applications.
Age Limit (As on January 1, 2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 32 Years
- Candidates must have been born not earlier than January 2, 1994, and not later than January 1, 2008.

Delhi High Court SPA & PA Salary & Pay Matrix
- Senior Personal Assistant: Appointed candidates are placed under Level 8 of the Pay Matrix as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) recommendations (Group 'B' Non-Gazetted classification).
- Personal Assistant: Selected candidates are placed under Level 7 of the Pay Matrix of the 7th CPC (Group 'B' Non-Gazetted classification).
Four-Stage Selection Process
Both the SPA and PA recruitments involve an identical structural outline divided into four distinct progression stages. Stage I is strictly qualifying. Merit ranking is calculated by summing up raw marks obtained in Stages II, III, and IV.
- Stage I: English Typing Test (Qualifying): A 10-minute speed evaluation on computers. Candidates must score a minimum speed of 40 w.p.m. with total errors capped at 3% using the characters-with-space method.
- Stage II: English Shorthand Test: Consists of a 5-minute shorthand dictation passage followed by 45 minutes of transcription on computers.
- For SPA: 110 w.p.m. dictation (550 words total, maximum 120 marks). The permissible error threshold is 5% (27.5 errors).
- For PA: 100 w.p.m. dictation (500 words total, maximum 110 marks). The permissible error threshold is 5% (25 errors).
- Stage III: Main (Descriptive) Examination: 100-mark descriptive paper with a duration of 120 minutes. It comprises English Essay Writing (40 marks), Formal Letter Writing (15 marks), English Grammar & Comprehension (25 marks), and dual Translation exercises between Hindi and English (20 marks). Candidates must score a minimum of 50% (General category) or 45% (Reserved/PwBD categories) to qualify.
- Stage IV: Interview: Conducted for a maximum of 15 marks. There are no mandatory minimum qualifying marks for the interview stage.

2. Locate the Recruitment section and click on the Registration link for Senior Personal Assistant and Personal Assistant Examination 2026.
3. Create an account using a valid email ID and mobile number to receive system-generated login credentials.
4. Log in and carefully complete all mandatory fields of the application form matching your secondary matriculation records.
5. Upload a recent scanned color passport-size photograph, a captured live webcam image matching the uploaded passport, a signature, and left-hand thumb impression within designated file sizes.
6. Submit separate applications and fees if applying for both vacancies.
7. Process the application fee online using Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
8. Download and preserve the final fee Confirmation Page for verification.
