Goa Shipyard Limited Trainee Project Executive Recruitment 2026

Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL), a premier Government of India Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, has released the official recruitment notification for Trainee Project Executive positions on a fixed-term contract basis. Eligible engineering graduates and finance professionals can apply online through the official GSL portal from 04 September 2026 to 03 October 2026.

GSL Trainee Project Executive Recruitment 2026 Overview

This recruitment drive aims to fill 31 vacancies across various disciplines including Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Finance, and Naval Architecture. Selected candidates will be engaged initially for a period of two years, extendable up to one year based on performance and project requirements.

• Trainee Project Executive - Mechanical: 9 Posts

Educational Qualification and Experience

• Engineering Disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Naval Architecture): Full-time regular B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. Engineering (4 Years) in the relevant discipline from a recognized university or institute.
• Finance Discipline: Graduation along with a qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI), Cost Accountant (ICMA), or a 2-year PG Diploma/PG Degree in Finance.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience or 1 year of Graduate Apprenticeship training as of 31 July 2026. Apprenticeship in any industry is acceptable.

Age Limit and Relaxations

The upper age limit is calculated as of 31 July 2026:

• UR / EWS: 28 Years
• OBC: 31 Years
• SC / ST: 33 Years
• Relaxations for PwBD and other eligible categories apply as per government guidelines.

Salary Structure

Selected candidates receive a consolidated monthly stipend/salary:

• 1st Year: ₹35,000 per month
• 2nd Year: ₹38,000 per month
• Extended Tenure: ₹40,000 per month

Application Fee

The non-refundable application fee is ₹500, payable online via SBI e-pay. SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, GSL Graduate Apprentices, and GSL Advance Trainees are fully exempted from the fee.

Selection Process

The selection methodology comprises:

1. Written Test (25% General Aptitude and 75% Subject/Trade-related questions)
2. Document Verification
3. Group Discussion / Interview

The final merit list is prepared with 85 weightage for the Written Test and 15 weightage for the Group Discussion or Interview.
