ICAR IARI Young Professional-II Recruitment 2026 Overview

The Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR IARI), Regional Station, Shimla, has issued an official notification inviting applications for the recruitment of Young Professional-II (YP-II) on a purely contractual basis. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

• Essential Qualification: Postgraduate degree (M.Sc) in Genetics, Plant Breeding, Genetics & Plant Breeding, or Agricultural Botany.
• Desirable Experience: Prior experience in wheat hybridization, DNA isolation, running PCR assays, conducting lab/field experiments, disease screening, molecular cytogenetic techniques, data tabulation, and technical report writing.

Age Limit and Relaxations

Candidates must meet the following age parameters as on the date of application evaluation:

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 45 years
• Age Relaxation: Relaxation in upper age limits for SC, ST, OBC, and women candidates will be applicable as per the official Government of India and ICAR guidelines.

Selection Methodology
